Fees and charges

  • S$2 if the average daily balance falls below minimum balance of S$2,000 or its equivalent
  • For HSBC Offshore Banking (applicable to non-residents), in addition to the respective service charges applicable to each of the accounts, a minimum balance fee of S$50 per month applies if Total Relationship Balance falls below S$200,000 (Total Relationship Balance includes deposits, investments and/or insurance)
  • S$5 per transaction at branches (waived for internet banking)
  • No annual card fee applies

New to EGA

For existing HSBC customers without Everyday Global Account, you can apply for the Everyday Global Account and Debit Card with your internet banking access. Simply login with your security token through the link below and access the account opening page directly.

New to HSBC

You will need an HSBC account to apply for a Everyday Global account. If you do not have any HSBC account, please visit any HSBC branches islandwide to open your HSBC Everyday Global Account and Debit Card.

Things to note

Do remember to activate your new Debit Card prior to your first use, by calling 1800-HSBC-NOW (4722 669) and selecting 1 for Card Activation.

  • In some situation, the merchant may process your transaction and bill you in another currency other than the original transaction currency.
    Please review the currency and billing amount in the merchant's check out section or invoice prior to accepting the transaction. 
  • If you do not have sufficient foreign currencies to complete the transactions, we will convert at prevailing rate as determined by the bank and bill you in Singapore dollar. Assuming you have charged GBP 18,000 to your debit card on 23 Nov 2018 without sufficient balance in your GBP Everyday Global Account, you will be billed indicatively SGD 32,455.80 in your SGD Everyday Global Account. This is based on prevailing HSBC Board Exchange Rate of SGD-GBP 1.8031 on 23 Nov 2018.
  • There may be a gain or loss when you convert foreign currency. Eligible Customers are advised to make independent judgment with respect to any matter contained herein. The Bank shall not be liable for any delay in effecting such conversion, instruction or transactions.
  • Renminbi (RMB) is not available for debit card payment and cash withdrawal. Withdrawals from any RMB Account shall be by way of foreign exchange conversion into non-RMB denominated currency(ies) only.
